Buy ice cream and frozen yogurt mix. It came out nice and tart, almost as good as Trader Joe's plain frozen yogurt. I used a Cuisinart ice cream maker, and it was ready much faster than regular ice cream.

This stuff is better than ice cream. The biggest nutritional difference between frozen yogurt and ice cream is the fat content. Alternatively, to make vanilla frozen yogurt without an ice cream maker, pour into a wide shallow container and freeze, uncovered for one and a half hours, scraping and mixing every half hour. Once evenly frozen, store in an airtight container with a lid.

  1. First in a mixing bowl take half cup of condensed milk. Then add yogurt & vanilla extract in it.
  2. Now give it a good mix with the help of a whisk & cover it up. Then keep the container inside the freezer & freeze only for 2 hours & it's ready to be served.
  3. Once the yogurt Ice-cream is set, scoop up some of the Ice-cream & sprinkle few almond slices on the top. Then serve immediately.

The result was a very fatty ice cream that was delicious but made us have tummie aches due to eating too much. So I started fiddling with the proportions, and added some yogurt to add some creamyness. The result was a tangy vanilla that probably wouldn't remind you of yogurt at first taste–the yogurt seems to just bring out the other flavors well. Costco has had nonfat yogurt in vanilla, chocolate, and swirl flavors for quite some time now. The Very Berry Sundae, made with vanilla frozen yogurt and strawberries, has also been a favorite.
