Gyoza are most traditionally stuffed with pork and cabbage, but as I served these as a precursor to ginger pork belly, I decided to make half with chicken and sesame and the other half with prawn and chilli. I also treated myself to gyoza press, a fun little gadget for under a fiver that made the business of construction a lot quicker and simpler. Fried dumplings, commonly nicknamed pot stickers (or jiaozi in Mandarin Chinese), are a traditional Chinese cuisine that can be served as an appetizer, main course or side dish.   1. Mix the pork and vegetables together. Add in 1 tbsp of sesame oil, and the seasonings. Mix well
  2. Follow the instructions for the rice paper. Normally you will need to soak each sheet of paper for 2 seconds in warm water. From there lay it flat on a plate to sit for another minute or two. It will be ready to roll when it feels soft and pliable.

  4. Place 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a pan on medium heat. Add a little olive oil as well to really prevent those dumplings from sticking to the pan.
  5. Cook for about 7 minutes, or until the pork seems to be cooked through. I usually put a cover on the pan in order to "steam" them through if you will. Some recipes recommend putting a bit of water in the pan to help with this process, but I haven't tried that with rice paper yet!
  6. Serve with some of Kikkoman's Gluten Free Soy Sauce! Enjoy!

Rice paper rolls are great for no-cook dishes, plus they're also naturally gluten-free and vegan-friendly. The only downside is that once they've sat for a while, the rice paper wrapper becomes gummy, so spring and summer rolls are best eaten within an hour of making them.
