Serving : Panchratan dal is cooked and ready, It is really tempting. Take it out in a bowl. To make it more delicious you can add a little ghee on it. Garnish with ginger,fresh coriander & serve!
Steps to make Another Tadka for Panchmeli Dal:
- Take a wok or pan, add ghee, heat it.
- Add panch phoren, let it splutter.
- Add onion, stir fry it until light brown.
- Add ginger garlic grated, sauté it for a while. Add lil salt also.
- Now add veggies & tomato, stir fry it for a while.
- Add paneer & green chilli, give a stir.
- Now add haldi & dhania powder, also add garam masala powder.
- Stir fry it for a while.
- Add cooked dal now, mix it well.
- Add dahi, mix it well, cook it at high flame for a while or till first boil.
- Lower the flame now, cook it for 5 minutes.
- Remove it from the flame, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
- It makes good combo with rice.
As the name suggests Panchmel Dal Panchratna Dal means five types of lentils cooked together. This is a side dish of Baati in a Rajasthani Thali. This has pigeon peas, bengal gram, red lentil, black gram and green gram. Tadka of ghee along with some spices, onion, tomato, garlic and ginger added that makes it more delicious.
