I like using all-purpose flour, but you can substitute some of the all-purpose flour for whole wheat or white whole wheat flour.

Instructions to make Carrot cake:
  1. In a mixer,beat the sugar and eggs well.
  2. To the same,add cream, vanilla essence and orange food colour and mix again.
  3. Take out the mix in a bowl and sieve flour,baking soda,baking powder and salt into it and mix well till no lumps.
  4. Add shredded carrot and mix again.
  5. Pour in a loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 35-40 minutes till a skewer comes out clean.
  6. Demould when it's cold and serve as such or with some drizzle,if required.
