  2. Cut cabbage into one or two inch pieces.
  3. Cut the onion in half and then slice into short pieces.
  4. Cut the smoked sausage into bite-size pieces on the bias
  5. Once the butter has melted add the cabbage and onions. Cook on medium high heat until the cabbage is soft.
  6. Add the can of tomato sauce and the smoked sausage. Cover and cook 25 - 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Instructions: Dice up onions, carrots, potatoes, onions and smoked sausage. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add all the vegetables and smoked sausage. Cook the vegetables, stirring occasionally until the are partially cooked and begin to brown lightly. Wrap a damp paper towel around the cabbage, and place it in a perforated plastic bag in the crisper drawer.
