The ingredients needed to make Rava/Suji and Alu Sticks:
- Make ready 1 small cup suji
- Make ready 2 big sized boil potatoes
- Make ready 1 chopped onion
- Make ready 2 chopped green chillies
- Make ready Handful Chopped coriander leaves
- Prepare 3 chopped garlic cloves (optional)

- Make ready As per taste Red chilli powder
- Make ready 3 tablespoons corn flour
- Take 1 tablespoon maida
- Make ready 1/2 tablespoon chaat masala
- Get 1 plate breadcrumbs
- Take As required Oil for frying
- Make ready As required Water
Instructions to make Rava/Suji and Alu Sticks:
- Take a kadai. Add suji and stir it for 30 seconds. Add 2 cups water and cook until the water is completely absorbed and suji turns soft. If required 1/2 cup water can be added. Once it’s done let it cool.
- Meanwhile boil the potatoes. Once the potatoes are boiled, take a bowl for mixing. Add all the ingredients (suji, boiled mashed potatoes, all the chopped ingredients, salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala and coriander leaves)into the bowl. Mix everything well. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile take a small bowl. Add the corn flour and maida along with water. Mix well and make a nice paste. Neither too thick nor too watery. This paste will give a nice texture to the sticks.
- Take a plate of breadcrumbs. After 10 mins, take the mixture and give a nice shape (similar to the sticks). I have shared my pictures. You can make a longer stick or shorter ones, thinner or any other shape.
- Let it not be too thick otherwise it will absorb extra oil. To give perfect shape I used knife to cut it from the sides and gave it a perfect stick shape(suggestion)😊 Once the it’s done then take each stick coat it well with the corn flour mix. Dip it once in the corn flour batter nicely then coat it with the breadcrumbs to make it absolutely crispy.
- Take a fry pan. Add oil. Let it heat. On medium flame just fry these sticks.
- Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
