  15. Prepare 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi (Crushed)

Steps to make Paneer Tikka:
  1. Since the Paneer is store bought, cut into cubes and keep it in hot water for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, drain the water and set aside. Make sure the paneer is firm.
  2. For this recipe, we need thick curd. Hang them in a muslin cloth for half an hour or so to remove the whey. Alternatively, you can keep it in a strainer. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned under "For the Marinade" and mix well.
  4. Add the paneer cubes to it. Toss the paneer cubes in the marinade till they are well coated. Cover and set aside for at least half an hour or upto 2 hours.
  5. Skewer the paneer cubes alternating with onions, tomato and green bell pepper.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan with 1 tablespoon oil. Place the prepared skewers in it and let it cook on low heat, turning in between, till the paneer is slightly charred on the surface.
  7. Carefully remove the skewers from the pan on to a serving plate. Squeeze lemon juice on them and serve it immediately with sliced onions.
