  3. In a saucepan, I put all the ingredients excluding the chicken and the cornstarch and brought it a boil on medium low. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the cornstarch and let the sauce thicken, once it has, remove from the heat
  4. Place the washed chicken in a bowl. I removed the skin, you can leave it on if you prefer it. Pour the cooled or almost cooled teriyaki sauce into the bowl, and toss well to cover the meat with the sauce. I then let it marinate in the fridge for about 20-30mins
  5. Preheat the oven to 200C
  6. Place the chicken on a baking tray and I let the chicken cook away. Don't throw the left over marinade thats in the bowl, I just basted the meat a few times while it was in the oven
  7. Ish minutes later the chicken was done. It smelt yummy and was pretty juicy and not dry (which is great!)
  8. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish
  9. I made a salad to go with it. A veggie stir fry will be yum too
